My Beloved Summer Dress - New Look

Just brought this dress from New Look for my summer holiday (yes a little early!). It is so pretty and girly and the vintage print of Venice looks like it could actually be from the 1950's, so much so that I couldn't leave it on the rail. The belt finishes it off, and I can't wait to pair it with some chunky heels when the sun starts shining again. Until then I will be pairing it with my fail-safe black tights, a navy boyfriend cardigan or possibly my cosy fisherman jumper, and my structured 1950's bag.

My Beloved Look - Matthew Williamson Fall 2011

The changing colour of the dress, the crisp blazer, the sky high shoes with socks peeping out from. I love it! The entire look, just feels so street ready, and really plays with dressed up and casual stereotypes. Williamson's pairing of the clothes and simple hair with fresh make-up really makes this seem wearable and versatile. 

The girl from the beach has just come into town.

My Beloved Office Wear - Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011

I recently found out that I got a work experience placement at a local newspaper, and after my initial joy, I realised the question that every girl asks herself in this situation- what am i going to wear? Well Marc Jacobs offered up the answer in his Marc by Marc jacobs collection. Chic wool combos intersperssed with soft satin blouses, and realistically wearable colours. Perfect office wear! Now the only problem is getting my hands on it before April.

Happy Valentines! 

My Beloved Dress - Organic by John Patrick and Dolce and Gabbana

This Organic by John Patrick is just so pretty and feminine! I really want a pretty white summer dress to wear this summer, but sadly the only ones that I have fallen in love with are incredibly expensive. They would look perfect on holiday in Greece or somewhere else in the Meditarian, wandering the streets, eating wonderful food, and meandering along beaches. Hopefully I will find a wonderful (cheap) vintage one from the 1970's!

My Beloved Bird - Gouldian Finches

I have never had a 'beloved' bird before, but when I a picture of these wonderfully colourful birds I thought they looked so beautiful they deserved to be blogged about! They are actually endangered in their native home of Australia, but there are conservation projects running that are trying to increase numbers. I hope they are able to raise population levels, they are such beautiful birds it would such a loss for them to become extinct.

My Beloved Show - Totem by Cirque du Soleil

I'm a huge fan of Cirque du Soleil, so me and my family quickly booked our annual tickets to see their latest production the Royal Albert Hall this February. Totem looks energetic and as usual with Cirque productions, incredibly original and inspiring. Their shows always leave you feeling amazed and I can't wait to see their latest offering. I am also seeing Avenue Q and visiting the Tate, so it seems February will be a very cultured month!

Love the curly, mildly fizzy, boho look of Raquel Zimerman and Freja Beha Erichsen's hair in these shots. It looks so fun and springy, the sort of hair that you wish your's was naturally like but it never quite is.
